We are proud to announce we will now offer The Youth<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>Junior Boxing Program at Strategic Academy.<\/p>

The program is ideal for individuals who have little to no experience boxing or exercising.
They will safely learn the fundamentals, including punches, how to hit the heavy bag, drills, and more.<\/p>

Class schedule:<\/strong>
(8-12) Years Old \u2013 Monday and Wednesday from 5:00pm until 6:00pm<\/p>

(13-15) Years Old \u2013 Tuesday & Thursday from 5:00pm-6:00pm<\/p>

Class Description:<\/b><\/p>

The Junior Boxing Program is ideal\u00a0for individuals who have little to no experience boxing or exercising.\u00a0 Our program is designed to introduce children ages 8-13 to the art of boxing. Our classes focus on the core fundamentals of the sweet science. First, we start off with introducing your child to a proper boxing stance. A good stance will provide proper balance and the ability to shift weight when engaging in offensive and defensive techniques. Second, we focus\u00a0on footwork drills which will provide the ability to maximize the boxer’s efficiency and accuracy when\u00a0throwing punches and making the\u00a0opponent miss their\u00a0strikes.\u00a0 Once these are established, the focus becomes on proper\u00a0punching\u00a0technique and working on different punching combinations with\u00a0mit work and on the heavy bag.<\/p>

As the student progresses, we will advance\u00a0the student into controlled sparring sessions. This will offer an experience for the student to apply all of their learned techniques and gain the experience necessary to use them in a live situation. Proper equipment is necessary once the student advances to this step in the program. This educational\u00a0class will help your\u00a0child acquire\u00a0a new\u00a0skill,\u00a0self defense and tap into \u00a0his or her inner\u00a0athlete.<\/div>
